The first visit, as one parent remembers it

“Anna found the gap in about ten minutes that school hadn't found in two years. Tom passed the 11+ in September.”

The first 30 minutes with Anna are free, in the study room or online, and nothing is paid before you decide. Ask with the short form below, or ring 01632 960 418.

What happens in the thirty minutes

Anna meets you and your child together, in the study room or over a video call. The first few minutes are just talking: what school is like at the moment, what feels hard, what your child is quietly good at.

Then Anna and your child work through a little maths or science side by side. It is not a test. She is looking for where things are solid and where the gap sits, and most children relax once they realise nobody is marking them.

At the end she tells you plainly what she found and what would help: one to one or a small group, how often, and at which level. Then she leaves you to decide in your own time. There is no booking to make on the day and nothing to pay.

The half hour is informal. Anna works beside your child, not across from them.

Evenings and Saturday mornings with space

Anna teaches four weekday evenings and Saturday mornings, and keeps this note current.

Monday
15:45 – 19:30
Tuesday
15:45 – 19:30
Wednesday
15:45 – 19:30
Thursday
15:45 – 19:30
Saturday
09:00 – 12:30

Fridays and Sundays are not teaching days. Online sessions run in the same hours.

Current spaces, updated 14 October 2026

Sessions are booked by the term, so which evenings have space changes as families start and finish. Rather than list slots here that may be gone by the time you read them, Anna tells you exactly what is free when you ask, usually the same day.

If the evening you need is full, say so anyway. Tell Anna which other evenings or Saturday times might work, or whether an online session would suit, and she will tell you plainly what she can offer. Ask about the current spaces

How to ask

Three plain ways, and none of them needs an account or a card. Send the form, ring, or write, and Anna will come back to you with the evenings that have space and a time for the free half hour.

Finding the study room

The study room is at Anna's home on the edge of Ludlow, in south Shropshire. Because it is a family home rather than a centre, the full address, directions and where to park are sent to you once a visit is arranged.

After the half hour

If it suits, sessions run weekly at the same time each week and are booked by the term, with 24 hours' notice to cancel a session. Your child can come one to one or join a small group of up to four, in the study room or online, and the price is the same whichever way you choose to meet. Key Stage 2 and 11+ sessions are £36 an hour one to one, Key Stage 3 and GCSE are £42, and a small group is £20 per child per hour. How booking by the term works, and the prices by level
